It is also said that Maharaja Ranjit Singh kept his treasure worth Rs. 30 Lakhs (sum of that time), precious jewels, and silver & copper coins in Toshakhana. For the security of his treasure, around 2000 soldiers were allotted as guards. You can still find the coins carved inside the walls in Toshakhana. It is extremely great to discover the royal treasury and get to know about the treasure secrets of the Maharaja inside the fort.
